Question:Is the opinion of His Eminence regarding the purification of the body and clothes from urine, whether with a large amount of water as a precaution or as a legal ruling, the same for the purification with a small amount of water? If my religious authority (Marja) prescribes the washing of the body and clothes with a large amount of water twice to purify from urine, can I follow His Eminence's opinion?
Answer:In the name of Allah, His Eminence the Marja prescribes the necessity of washing twice. Allah knows best.
Question:How should one purify their clothes and body when they become soiled with urine? Specifically, what is the purification process when using a small amount of water, less than quarter of a liter measurement, and when using a large amount of water equal to the quarter or more?
Answer:In the name of Allah, pour water on the soiled area. When the water separates from the soiled area, pour water on it again, and the body becomes pure. If the garment is soiled with urine, pour water on the soiled area, then squeeze it, and the garment becomes pure. This is when washing with a small amount of water. If washing is done with a large amount of water, equal to or exceeding the quarter, immerse the soiled part of the body in the large amount of water, remove it, then immerse it again, and it becomes pure. For clothing, immerse it in water, remove it, squeeze it, and if you do this twice, the garment becomes pure. Allah knows best.
