Question:It is commonly known among the religion scholars that it is disliked for menstruating women and in postpartum to recite the Holy Quran, and if the reciting exceeds seventy verses, it will be highly disliked, as it is forbidden to recite the verse of (Sajdah) prostration in Surat Al-Aza’im. The question is whether you have a different opinion from this opinion even if the matter goes between sitting menstruating or postpartum without any worship that she can recite the Noble Quran without the verse of prostration. Is it better for her not to recite or is it better for her to recite, even if it is less reward?
Answer:In the name of Allah, it is desirable for her to recite the entire Quran, but it will be less rewarded during her menstrual and postpartum days. According to my opinion, these women and the men in state of Janabat are not allowed to recite any verse of Al-Sajdah. The terms “dislike” used by other scholars of religion indicates less rewards. Allah knows best.

Answer:In the name of Allah, if a woman has a controlled period and these secretions are after them, then they are not counted from menstruation. However, if they are not of a controlled period in terms of number, then those secretions if they were during the ten or interrupted within the ten days, they are regarded as menstruation. Otherwise, they are regarded as pre/post menses (Istihadha). Allah knows best.
