*  EMPHASIZING THE IMPORTANCE OF THE JUDICIARY TO PRESERVE RIGHTS AND THE RULE OF LAW VIGOROUSLY.

His Eminence, Grand Ayatollah the Religious Authority Sheikh Bashir  Al-Najafy (may Allah prolong his life) welcomed the Chief Justice of the Federal Supreme Court, Judge Jasim Mohammed Al-Umiri, and the accompanying delegation. Judge Al-Umiri highlighted the significant role played by the Iraqi judiciary in making important legal decisions that serve Iraq's interests and its people, independent of political influences.

His Eminence, Grand Ayatollah the Religious Authority Sheikh Bashir  Al-Najafy (may Allah prolong his life), in his remarks, affirmed the importance of directing judicial work in Iraq towards prioritizing the nation's interests, while also defending the rights of the vulnerable and the poor in Iraq, and upholding the rule of law forcefully and internally within the country.
