On the occasion of Eid al-Adha, His Eminence Sheikh Ali Al-Najafy, the representative of Grand Ayatollah Al-Sheikh Bashir Al-Najafy (may Allah prolong his life) and the director of his central office in Najaf, welcomed official delegations from the local government in Najaf, as well as various delegations from different provinces of Iraq.

The delegations offered their congratulations to Grand Ayatollah Al-Najafy (may Allah prolong his life) on the occasion of Eid al-Adha and prayed to God Almighty for his protection and well-being.

Sheikh Ali Al-Najafy emphasized the importance of making Iraq our primary concern and focusing on the development of our cities as the main goal in managing governmental institutions, stressing the need to eliminate bureaucracy and corruption to achieve real progress in the country.

He also highlighted the importance of maintaining the security and safety of cities and citizens, working to eradicate negative phenomena that do not align with the identity of Iraq and Iraqis, such as the drug problem targeting the youth in particular.

Sheikh Al-Najafy pointed out that Eid al-Adha represents an opportunity to promote love and peace and to leave behind conflicts, calling on the community to come together, practice tolerance, and reject hatred and disputes.

He spoke about the significance of the relationship between the citizen and the nation, emphasizing the need to strengthen the sense of belonging to Iraq and its religious, national, and historical identity.

He explained that Iraq is a land of blessings, distinguished by the presence of the shrines of six Imams of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them), with Najaf being the capital of Imam Ali (peace be upon him) and the awaited Imam (may Allah hasten his reappearance), affirming that this capital will achieve justice and equality worldwide and end all forms of oppression and corruption.

In conclusion, Sheikh Ali Al-Najafy called on everyone to utilize this blessed occasion to reinforce the values of love and cooperation and to work together for a better future for Iraq and its people.
