The representative of His Eminence, Grand Ayatollah the Religious Authority Sheikh Bashir Al-Najafy (may Allah prolong his life), and the Director of his central office in Najaf, Sheikh Ali Al-Najafy, attended the central mourning ceremony of the Al-Hamzah, Uncle of the Prophet (peace be upon him and his family) Association at the guesthouse of the late Sayyid Aziz Abu Ghunaym in the district of Shanafiyah in Diwaniyah Governorate.

In his speech during the occasion, Sheikh Al-Najafy emphasized that the Husseini rituals are an integral part of religious rituals, a revival of the religion, and a part of the identity of Iraq and its people. He blessed their good efforts and prayed for their steadfastness on the path of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him), who was martyred for the sake of the true Muhammadan religion.

He pointed out that these gatherings played a significant role in achieving victory over the remnants of ISIS by responding to the call of the Marja'iyya in Najaf, where tens of thousands of members of these gatherings joined as leaders and fighters who do not fear death, with their motto being victory or martyrdom.
