Grand Ayatollah Al-Najafy s representative and director of his central office, Sheikh Ali Al-Najafy, welcomed a delegation from the al-Husseiniya and al-Rashadiya areas in the capital, Baghdad.

In a guiding speech to the attendees, he emphasized the virtue and greatness of the Noble Prophet (peace be upon him and his pure family), particularly as we are living through the days commemorating his noble birth, recalling the Prophet’s life and the noble morals he brought, and how he worked for the development and progress of his nation after liberating it from oppression, slavery, tyranny, and idol worship. The Prophet ended such slavery, liberated women, and granted them their rightful status under Islam, calling for the worship of Allah alone, and worked on nurturing the nation according to the principles of mercy, love, tolerance, peaceful coexistence, and adherence to good qualities, without infringing on others' rights.

He added that the noble school founded by the Prophet has been carried forward by his pure household, as they are the true extension of the message of the Noble Prophet (peace be upon them). He also pointed out that there is a cultural and intellectual attack aimed at undermining the Islamic identity, which includes various mechanisms designed to break up the family unit and distance women and youth from their Islamic identity through unchecked openness. The enemies of Islam have worked to destroy the family, which is the foundation of society, and this calls us to confront these deviations and foreign ideas by spreading the life of the Prophet and his family.

He further pointed out that Allah Almighty has blessed Iraq with many bounties and granted it a leading position in laying the foundation of human civilization. It was on this land that the first words were written, the first laws were enacted, and the sciences were established. Additionally, Iraq is home to the prophets and righteous people, as well as the holy shrines of the pure Imams and the religious seminary, making it a center of Islamic identity that should be cherished and protected. This compels us to uphold all these distinguishing features of this country.

He prayed for the protection and success of the people of Iraq. The delegation, in turn, appreciated his words and prayed for the health and well-being of both Sheikh Ali and Grand Ayatollah Al-Najafy(may his shadow last).
