The representative office of His Eminence, Grand Ayatollah Al-Najafy (may Allah prolong his life), in Wasit Governorate, Al-Kut, participated in the scientific symposium organized by the College of Arts at Wasit University to commemorate the blessed births of the month of Sha'ban.
During his lecture on the occasion of the birth anniversaries of the Imams (peace be upon them), Sheikh Muhammad Al-Badri emphasized the significance of celebrating these religious occasions. He highlighted their role in strengthening the bond with Ahlul Bayt and the essence of the divine message, referencing the Quranic verse: (Say, "I do not ask you for any reward for it except love for my near relatives.") [Quran 42:23]. He noted that recalling these anniversaries, holding gatherings, and reflecting on the virtues, merits, and tribulations of the Imams serve to reinforce loyalty to them and spread the principles of faith and religion for which they struggled.
Al-Badri further stressed that celebrating these occasions through legitimate means aligns with longstanding traditions, despite variations in methods over time and place. However, the core purpose remains unchanged.
He also underscored the need to ensure that all actions and expressions of joy during these celebrations adhere to Islamic teachings. He warned against any conduct that may lead to undesirable outcomes, emphasizing the importance of maintaining the essence of these occasions as moments of guidance and awareness that uphold their profound values.
