The event featured the participation of many poets and faithful writers from around the world and was held under the patronage of the central office, coinciding with a parallel event held in the area between the two holy shrines in the sacred city of Karbala.
During the event, His Eminence Sheikh Ali Al-Najafy delivered a speech in which he conveyed the greetings of His Eminence Grand Ayatollah Al-Najafy (May Allah prolong his life). He expressed his prayers for goodness and blessings upon the believers, emphasizing the necessity of adhering to the guardianship of Prophet Muhammad and his holy progeny (peace be upon them) and of commemorating the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) at all times and in all places. He stressed that all blessings enjoyed by humanity today are due to the grace of these gatherings and the Husseini rituals.
He highlighted the tremendous role of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) in preserving and continuing the religion, noting that Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) is the ultimate example of steadfastness in faith. His remembrance serves as the compass of true faith and loyalty. His Eminence also stressed the importance of drawing inspiration from Sayyida Zainab (peace be upon her) in patience, chastity, and adherence to the hijab, and from Al-Abbas (peace be upon him) in loyalty and sacrifice.
The event witnessed a large turnout of believers from Indian, Pakistani, and Afghan communities residing in Iraq, as well as visitors from these countries and others, enhancing the spiritual atmosphere of the occasion.
The event concluded with the recitation of Husseini poems and the holding of mourning gatherings, where attendees renewed their allegiance to Imam Hussein (peace be upon him), affirming that his blessed rituals remain an eternal symbol of patience, loyalty, and faith-based honor.
