His Eminence Grand Ayatollah Sheikh Bashir Al-Najafi (may Allah prolong his life) received the Italian Ambassador to Iraq, Mr. Nicolo Fontana, at his central office in Najaf Al-Ashraf. 

During the meeting, His Eminence discussed several important issues, most notably the Palestinian cause. He firmly rejected any attempts to displace Palestinians from their land in Gaza to any other place in the world, describing the Israeli aggression on Gaza as an effort to destroy the region and kill innocent people. 

His Eminence (may Allah prolong his life ) also called on other countries to provide support to Gaza, praising the resistance and its leaders, particularly Sayed Hassan Nasrallah, who stood strong and defended the causes of free humanity. 

Furthermore, His Eminence (may Allah prolong his life)  emphasized the importance of the Great Mosque of Kufa, considering it the largest mosque that has been a center of knowledge for over twelve centuries and served as the capital of the Islamic state during the era of Imam Ali (Peace Be Upon Him). 

For his part, the Italian Ambassador expressed his gratitude and appreciation to His Eminence Grand Ayatollah Al-Najafi (may Allah prolong his life) for his warm reception and valuable advice, affirming his country's keenness to strengthen relations with Iraq in various fields.
