Representative of the Office of His Eminence the Religious Authority in Baghdad Province Commemorate the Second Ten Nights of Muharram

The representative of the Office of His Eminence the Religious Authority, Sheikh Bashir Al-Najafy (may Allah prolong his life), in Baghdad Province commemorated the second ten nights of the sacred month of Muharram at Hussainiya al-Ansar in the Jamila neighborhood.
During the mourning gatherings for Imam Hussain (peace be upon him), Dr. Sayed Ahmad al-Yasiri delivered a speech in which he stated that the martyrdom of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him) on the soil of Karbala obliges us all to draw lessons and inspirations from his uprising—lessons rooted in faith-based values and frameworks for the advancement of human thought—towards building a civilized world founded on fraternity, and opposition to tyranny, oppression, and dark terrorism. These inspirations, he emphasized, are derived from the stances, conduct, and methodology of Imam Hussain, and from the pure Muhammadan struggle he embodied in his stand for truth and justice against oppression.
He stressed the importance of thoughtfully studying the character of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him), whether in the context of his revolution or his martyrdom on the tenth of Muharram, and recognizing the sacrifices he made to uphold the values of justice.
“If we wish to stand in the ranks of Hussain (peace be upon him), we must embody the values, manners, and ethics of his blessed uprising, for he is the righteous example for success in both worlds, God willing.” He added.
Dr. al-Yasiri also extended his condolences to the holy presence of Imam Al-Mahdi (may our souls be sacrificed for his reappearance), to the supreme religious authorities, and to the Islamic nation—especially the followers of Ahl Al-Bayt (peace be upon them)—on the occasion of Ashura, the martyrdom of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him), and the eternal triumph of blood over the sword.
