The representative of the Grand Religious Authority, Ayatollah Sheikh Bashir Al-Najafy (may his ), Sheikh Ali al-Najafi (may he be supported), joined the crowds of believers in their march toward the holy city of Karbala to commemorate the Arbaeen pilgrimage, in Al-Muthanna Province.

During the journey, he met with a number of Hussaini procession organizers, tribal sheikhs and dignitaries, as well as groups of believers participating in this blessed pilgrimage.

In his talks during rest stops, His Eminence affirmed that the Arbaeen route represents a victory for the authentic Muhammadan religion, an elevation of the word of truth, and a reinforcement of the Iraqi identity, given the great religious and humanitarian symbolism this pilgrimage carries.

Sheikh al-Najafi added that the Arbaeen pilgrimage is not merely a ritual, but a powerful force in society that reveals the noble values of the Iraqi people—generosity, courage, honor, and hospitality—qualities deeply rooted in Islamic teachings and revived through the blessed cause of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him).

He pointed out that this great pilgrimage serves as a complete school for all generations, where people learn the meanings of faith, sacrifice, and adherence to the values of true religion. He emphasized the importance of holding firmly to prayer, as it is the pillar of religion, and safeguarding the teachings of Islam for which Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) was martyred.
