HOLY NAJAF, Iraq – In a meeting underscoring the importance of religious identity, a delegation of staff from the Al-Abbas Holy Shrine was received at the office of His Eminence, The Religious Authority, Grand Ayatollah Sheikh Bashir Al-Najafy (may Allah prolong his life).

The delegation was welcomed by Sheikh Ali Al-Najafi (may his support endure), the Central Office Director and representative of The Religious Authority, Grand Ayatollah Sheikh Bashir Al-Najafy (may Allah prolong his life) conveyed the Marja's greetings and prayers and commended the staff for their dedicated service to visitors at the holy shrine.

A key focus of the discussion was the preservation of societal identity. Sheikh Al-Najafi highlighted the critical need to safeguard Iraq's religious and historical identity, describing it as a source of pride and social cohesion. He called for the reinforcement of the authentic values that form the foundation of Iraqi society.

"Iraq is the country of civilizations, blessings, and wealth," Sheikh al-Najafi stated, also noting its unique religious status as the first capital of Imam Ali (peace be upon him) and the future capital of the Awaited Imam al-Mahdi (may God expedite his reappearance).

The visiting staff also received religious guidance emphasizing sincerity in serving pilgrims and upholding the high moral standards befitting their roles at the sacred site.
