Najaf al-Ashraf – The representative of His Eminence, the Grand Religious Authority, Ayatollah Sheikh Bashir Hussain Al-Najafi (may Allah prolong his life), and the director of his central office in Najaf al-Ashraf, His Eminence Sheikh Ali Al-Najafi, participated in the International Arba'een Festival in its eleventh edition. The festival was organized by the Consulate of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Najaf Al-Ashraf, with broad official, religious, and cultural attendance.

His Eminence delivered a speech at the festival, conveying the greetings and congratulations of His Eminence, the Grand Religious Authority, Ayatollah Sheikh Bashir Hussain Al-Najafi (may Allah prolong his life) to the organizers and attendees. He affirmed that reviving the commemorations of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them), especially the Arba'een of Imam Hussein, represents a unique faith-based and human experience. It embodies the depth of connection with Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) and manifests the values of sacrifice, awareness, and commitment to the divine path.

Sheikh al-Najafi pointed out that serving Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) holds a great status with Allah Almighty, as mentioned in the noble texts and narrations. He stated that the servants and supporters of Hussein enjoy a special honor in this world and the hereafter, due to what this service represents of sincere loyalty and the embodiment of divine mission values.

His Eminence also touched upon the biographies of the martyred leaders of victory, foremost among them the two leading martyrs, Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis and Haj Qasem Soleimani (may Allah have mercy on them both). He explained that they were prominent models in serving the religion and the Islamic peoples, and that their primary concern was defending true human dignity, rejecting all forms of slavery and submission to unjust systems, and working to protect homelands and holy sites.

He clarified that the Arba'een procession of Imam Hussein is not merely a human gathering; rather, it is a complete educational institution that nurtures patience, giving, and awareness. It reflects the unity of the Islamic nation around the values of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him). He stressed the necessity of drawing inspiration from these values in confronting the intellectual, social, and political challenges facing the nation.

Concluding his speech, His Eminence Sheikh Ali Al-Najafi called for promoting the authentic Husseini consciousness, establishing the principles of justice and human dignity, and following the path of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them). He prayed to Allah Almighty to accept these efforts from everyone and to protect Iraq and all other Islamic countries from all harm.
