His Eminence Sheikh Ali Al-Najafi, the representative of Grand Religious Authority Ayatollah Al-Najafi (may his shadow endure) and Director of his Central Office, visited the Al-Samawa Desert Project. He was received by the Director General of the Engineering Affairs Directorate and a number of the personnel supervising the project.

During his field tour, His Eminence was briefed on the most prominent achievements realized within the framework of the agricultural and developmental projects implemented by the Popular Mobilization Forces, aimed at supporting Iraq industrially, nutritionally, and economically.

His Eminence also listened to a detailed explanation of the work mechanisms adopted in the project, particularly the wheat cultivation project using giant center pivot sprinklers powered by clean energy. This contributes to reclaiming vast areas of desert land and transforming them into green, productive lands after they were barren.

His Eminence praised the efforts made by those in charge of the project in their various specialties, affirming that what has been achieved represents a pioneering model in enhancing food security and achieving self-sufficiency.

In his remarks, he explained that the desert has been transformed into fruitful green land thanks to the efforts of the sons of the Popular Mobilization Forces, of whom we are proud, as well as their work method and the quality of their achievement. He conveyed to them the greetings and salutations of Grand Religious Authority (may his shadow endure) and his prayers for their continued success and guidance in serving Iraq and its people.
