Al-Diwaniyah – The representative of the office of His Eminence, the Marja' Ayatollah Al-Najafi (may Allah prolong his life), in Al-Diwaniyah Governorate participated in the ceremonies commemorating the anniversary of the demolition of the graves of the Imams of Al-Baqi' (peace be upon them), as part of a mourning procession that witnessed a large turnout of believers.

"This anniversary represents a deep wound in the conscience of the Islamic nation," affirming that commemorating it aims to remind of the oppression suffered by the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) and the necessity of preserving sanctities and safeguarding their inviolability.” Sayyid Hassan Al-Yasiri said.

He added that this occasion renews the demand to rebuild the graves of the Imams (peace be upon them), given the great status they hold in the conscience of Muslims.

He pointed out that the procession witnessed broad participation from Husseini processions and believers, in observance of this painful anniversary.
