Question:What is the ruling on using social courtesy phrases like "menawar" (you look great) or "takhball" (you look stunning), and the like, for someone who posts their picture on social media but doesn't actually look that way? Is there a prohibition in using these phrases?
Answer:In the name of Allah, be advised, my son, that every rational person's religion dictates staying away from any action that would arouse emotional, especially sexual, feelings, whether the communication is between two males, two females, or a male and a female. Allah is the Guide, and He is the All-Knowing.
Question:What is your opinion on publishing published books by private publishers in PDF format on the internet and social media platforms without the permission of the publisher, author, researcher, and translator, knowing that this action causes financial and moral harm to the mentioned publishing house?
Answer:In the name of Allah, it is not appropriate to do so without obtaining permission from the party responsible for publishing that book if they have indicated that the copyright is vested in that party. Allah knows best.
