Question:Is the expiation for delay and atonement obligatory for a person who has not fasted for years, believing that fasting is not obligatory for him?
Answer:In the name of Allah, it is obligatory to perform missed fasting, pay the atonement and expiation for delaying it. Allah knows best.
Question: A sick person has been prevented from fasting by his doctor as if he fasts, his condition will worsen. His sickness continues to the next year and he could not fast because his doctor did not allow his either. Is the atonement of Iftar obligatory on him for each day by supplying food or not?
Answer:In the name of Allah, he has to supply 22.5 kilo for each day of the month. Allah knows best.
Question: Someone has one day overdue from the previous Ramadhan and there is one day remaining for the next Ramadhan to come, that is, he has a very limited time. What is the ruling if: 1. He does not fast this day intentionally and enters the new Ramadhan? Has he sinned in addition to the fact that he has to pay the ransom (Fidia) and fast the missed day? 2. He intends to fast this day on the last day of Shaban, but intentionally breaks his fast before the high noon?
Answer:1. In the name of Allah, there is no doubt that if he has not fasted this day throughout the whole year and for the last day of Shaban as well, so he is a sinner. Allah knows best. 2. In the name of Allah, the same answer as mentioned in number one above.
Question:If the husband pays the ransom (Fidia) or fasting Ramadhan on behalf of his wife, is it considered as a maintenance?
Answer: In the name of Allah, it is not regarded as an obligatory maintenance. Allah knows best.
Question: Is the ransom (Fidia) doubled with the coming of each Ramadhan if it is not paid with the first month of Ramadhan? Or is it only one?
Answer:In the name of Allah, there is one ransom (Fidia) for a Ramadhan even if it is delayed for many years. Yes, it is doubled if breaking the fast occurs in more than one month.
Question:My wife wants to pay ransom (Fidia) for the previous fasting due to pregnancy or menstruation. What is the ruling and where can we pay that according to His Eminence (may Allah prolong his life)?
Answer: In the name of Allah, the ransom (Fidia) is due only when fasting harms her or her fetus, but leaving fasting because of menstruation or postpartum period is to be fasted as an overdue fasting only without a ransom (Fidia). Question:What is the ruling of one who has not paid the ransom (Fidia) for the past years? Should we pay extra amounts or the same as we desired to pay? What is the ratio of the ransom (Fidia) per day in Britain? Is it 3 pounds?
Answer:In the name of Allah, the ransom (Fidia) amount or quantity does not increase by the delay. It is determined according to the quantity of rice, dates, raisin or flour, which is ¾ kilo per day and preferably 1 kilo. The quantity is not determined by the amount. Allah knows best.
