Question:Is the Istibraa (purifying genitals from urine) after urinating or other related issues obligatory or recommended. If a person does not do it, does it make a problem for him?
Answer:In the name of Allah, the Istibraa is required. If man or woman does not do it and a wet substance comes out whether a urine or not then his ablution becomes invalid. Allah knows best.
Question:What is the right way to do Istibraa (purifying genitals from urine, sperm or menses blood) from urine? What are the rules of doubting the Istibraa? Do women do Istibraa?
Answer:In the name of Allah, it is recommended to do Istibraa. Istibraa means to make sure that there is no remaining urine in the urethra. The way of Istibraa is: to wipe with some pressure the area from the rectum to the penis which helps pushing the possibly urine remaining to the penis. Then, you put the penis between the thumb above it and another finger under it and then pulling it three times from the bottom to the head of the penis and finally you shake it three times. Regarding women, they do Istibraa by pushing what remains in her vagina out. The one who doubts has to do the Istibraa rules. Allah knows best.
Question:If a woman carries a hirz (talisman) of Al-Kursi verse, does she have to put it off before entering the toilet or in the days of menstruation?
Answer:In the name of Allah, if this talisman is covered in such a way that the najis liquid cannot enter, or the inside of the talisman does not touch her body (when in menstruation), it is permissible to carry it. Nevertheless, it is disliked to carry it in the days of menstruation, puerperium- lochia- or irregular menses. Allah knows best.
Question:After finishing urination and purifying genitals process, some very small drops come out. Do they render the clothes najis (impure)?
Answer:In the name of Allah, if you are not sure they are from urine, then they are considered pure. However, if you are sure they are from urine, they are najis and the clothes touching them are also najis. Allah knows best.
