Question:If a person performing a ghusl (ritual bath) for janabah finds an obstacle after the ghusl and before committing another act that necessitates a ghusl, should they repeat the entire ghusl from the beginning, or is it sufficient to wash the area of the obstacle with the intention of performing a ghusl?
Answer:In the name of Allah, it is sufficient to wash the area of the barrier after removing it. Allah is the All-Knowing.
Question:Is it permissible to perform Ghusl al-Tartibi (sequential washing) while sitting?
Answer:In the name of Allah, it is permissible as long as one is able to ensure that water reaches all parts of the body in the required and prescribed order. Allah knows best.
Question:Sometimes I talk to myself while performing the ritual bath (ghusl) from sexual impurity (janabah). Is there any issue with that?
Answer:In the name of Allah, if there is no harm or offense directed towards anyone, then there is no problem with it. Allah knows best.
Question:My question is about ritual bathing. When I bathed, I found something tiny on my nail (some substance). I do not know what it is and whether it prevents the water from reaching the nail. Then, I completed the bathing, but I was so worried whether my bath was valid or not. In case that thing prevents water from touching the nail spot, do I have to repeat the bathing or shall I wash the spot which was not touched by water with the intention of completing the ritual bathing?
Answer:In the name of Allah, It must be ensured that water reaches every point of the body that must be washed in order to complete the ritual bathing. The bathing person has to remove the thing which he suspected to prevent the water from reaching the body spot. Therefore, the ritual bathing is not valid. If the bathing is sequential, then if what you mentioned is on the right side, then it is sufficient that the suspected area is washed in the required manner and then the left side. If the substance is in the left side, it is sufficient to make the water reach the suspected spot (after removing the substance which prevents the water). If the substance is on the head or its surroundings, the spot is to be washed, the right side and then the left side. In case the bathing was in immersion, it is sufficient to wash the suspected spot wherever it is. The ritual bathing does is not to be repeated. Allah knows best.
Question:Do I have to get out from under the shower during the regular Janabat wash if I have finished washing the head and neck, and I want to start washing the body?
Answer:In the name of Allah, getting out from under the shower removes suspicion in the application of wash. However, if a person makes the intention of washing when water pours on the right side after washing the head and neck, and the water flows on the right side, it is sufficient to achieve it, as well as from the left side, then it is not necessary to get out from under the shower. Allah knows best.
Question:Do touching the woman’s thighs and foreplay obligate the Janabat washing on the woman in the case of that the man ejaculates without penetration? Is Janabat achieved in the event that the glans did not enter or were suspected of entering the anus?
Answer:In the name of Allah, if a woman does not ejaculate – as in the question- then she does not have to do ghusl, rather the husband should do ghusl only if he ejaculates. However, if the glans or some of it enters into the anus and/or the vagina, both should do washing of Janabat. Allah knows best.
Question:Is it obligatory to utter the intention to wash the Janabat washing before washing? Can we intend in the heart; without uttering the intention words?
Answer:In the name of Allah, the intention suffices. Allah knows best.
Question:Seeing moisture that one does not know, is it semen that may be left in the penis or not? What is the ruling?
Answer:In the name of Allah, the rulings of semen and Janabat are only made with the certainty. Yes, if he is in the state of Janabat and he does not acquit himself from semen with urine or others, in this case he must repeat the ritual ghusl as in the question. Allah knows best.
Question:If it is intended not to give compensation to the one who is in-charge of the bath, or he thinks that the money to be given is forbidden, or he is to postpone the compensation, does this invalidate one’s washing?
Answer:In the name of Allah, if he enters the bathroom with the consent of one in-charge, then his washing is valid and he must pay the wage from the permissible money. Allah knows best.
Question:Some of the greatest scholars (may Allah sanctify their souls) said that if there are multiple reasons for ablution, one ablution is enough for all the reasons; if there are combined reasons for washing, one washing is enough with the intention of all washings, as well as if one intend the washing of Janabat only, or other than the Janabat. But if the intention is to do ghusl with the intent of the missed washings to get closer to Allah, without the intention to do all types of washings, is this valid?
Answer:In the name of Allah, this is not valid. Allah knows best.
