Question:How should a diver perform prayer while submerged in the sea when time is limited?
Answer:In the name of Allah, know, my dear, that a person performing prayer must face the direction of the Kaaba if they are not in the Sacred Mosque. This applies regardless of whether they are on the surface of the Earth, in the air, on the surface of the Moon or Mars, or in the depths of the sea. Every ship or submarine does not move without first determining its intended direction. A submarine is equipped with instruments that indicate its course, allowing you to determine the direction of the Kaaba either through these devices or by asking the person supervising the submarine’s movement. If there is sufficient space, you should perform your prayer in its complete form. If space is limited, then you should pray according to the conditions available to you. Allah is the Bestower of success, and He knows best.
Question:According to your fatwa, is it permissible to direct the feet towards Kaaba while sleeping?
Answer:In the name of Allah, if the intention is to direct oneself to Kaaba, it is permissible and recommended, provided that it is not considered as a degrading act to Kaaba. Allah knows best.
