Question:We have a charitable association concerned with fighting cancer. We put donation boxes to receive the remaining medicines from the people and redistribute them to the needy. The people put money along with the medicines in the boxes. Is it possible to spend part of the money as salaries for the workers in the association, even though the donor’s intention may be to put the money as a price for medicine?
Answer:In the name of Allah, it is not permissible unless the permission of the donors is given. Allah knows best.
Question:Is there advice presented by His Eminence (may Allah prolong his life) regarding driving motorcycles?
Answer:In the name of Allah, my sons should be advised that when they start using bicycles, motorcycles or cars, they should abide by the rules and conditions and they should not start unless he has trained very well that he can drive well. Everybody knows that the sanctity of Muslims’ properties is like the sanctity of his blood. Allah is the All Guide.
Question:A person who is working in my house does not fast during Ramadhan. I asked him about the reason and he answered that there was no reason. If he asks me to give him food or drinks, is it permissible to give him? In case it is not permissible to help him breach the sanctity of Ramadhan, is this the same of the prayer abandoner?
Answer:In the name of Allah, I advise you to avoid helping him in the disobedience. Allah knows best.
Question:Is it permissible for a non-young woman to greet her men neighbours, provided that she is sure there will be no sedition?
Answer:In the name of Allah, it is permissible if she was in the menopause age (when she completes 60 lunar years in case she was Hashemite or Qarashi, or when she completes 50 years in case she was not from the aforementioned tribes), provided that she does not soften her voice so that attraction does not happen. Moreover, it is recommended for her to greet and the other has to answer and avoid what we have mentioned before. Allah knows best.
Question:Is it permissible to force one to perform prayers, basing this act on “enjoining good”?
Answer:In the name of Allah, yes it is. Man forces his family, sons, or employees (if possible) to pray. Therefore, you have to force whomever you can to perform prayers. Allah knows best.
