Question:What is the ruling on the captives of unbelievers who fall into the hands of Muslims, and did the prophet (PBUH) order to kill them? What is the interpretation of the blessed verse 67 of Surat Al-Anfal? Allah said: “It is not for a prophet to take captives before he has subdued the land. You desire the materials of this world, but Allah desires the Hereafter. Allah is Strong and Wise) and verse 68 (Were it not for a predetermined decree from Allah, an awful punishment would have afflicted you for what you have taken)?
Answer:. In the name of Allah, the tradition of the Prophet (PBUH&HF) in the defensive invasions is detailed in the history books and the Prophet (PBUH&HF) captured a number in the Great Battle of Badr and in Hunayn and in Khyber and others. The prophet (PBUH) ordered to kill some of the prisoners rather than ordering to kill others according to the Islamic and jihadist interest, and then the matter of the infidel criminal who started the war against us if he falls under our grip, then it is either that we kill him for being Kafir and not subject to Islam, or take him as a captive. The terrorists are sentenced as corrupters on the earth. And the sentence on those who aim to spread corruption in the earth is detailed and explained in the following Quranic verse concerning corrupters in the earth even if the latter claim Islam as their religion. " The punishment for those who fight against Allah and His Messenger, and strive to spread corruption on earth, is that they be killed, crucified, or have their hands and feet cut off on opposite sides, or be banished from the land. That is to disgrace them in this life; and in the Hereafter they will have a terrible punishment."
