Question:Is it permissible that the price of the recommended sacrifice (Qurban) to be sufficient in such a way that there is a price for meat, neck and liver, where the total cost of these parts is collected and paid to the butcher? Or, should we buy an entire animal with a lump sum price which the two parties agree upon?
Answer:In the name of Allah, buying an entire animal is a must. Allah knows best.
Question:Some associations collect sums of money to slaughter sacrifices (Qurnban) for them after taking the permission from them to dispose of these sacrifices. Is it permissible for the association to sell these sacrifices and distribute the money to the poor, or not?
Answer:In the name of Allah, it is not permissible. Allah knows best.
Question:Is it required for the sacrifice of the deceased to be seven sacrifices and be sacrificed every sacrifice in a different year?
Answer:In the name of Allah, the sacrifice is desirable for the living and the dead and does not adhere to what you mentioned. Allah knows best.
Question:Is it permissible for the price of the desirable sacrifice to be remunerative, so that the meat has a price, the neck has a price, and the pluck has a price, and then these prices are collected and paid to the butchers, or must the animal be purchased entirely at a certain price agreed upon between the two parties
Answer:In the name of Allah, it is necessary to buy a whole living animal. Allah knows best.
Question:Where is the incident of the sacrifice of Abraham (PBUH) in the Qur'an? Is the name of the animal that was sacrificed for Ismail (PBUH) mentioned in the Qur’an? Please write the sources from the Sunnah for this question.
Answer:In the name of Allah, the name of the animal that Abraham sacrificed when Allah Almighty lifted the slaughter from his son was not mentioned in the holy Quran, but what was mentioned that Abraham told his son that Allah had ordered him (Abraham) to slaughter his son (Abraham's son), then Abraham's son complied to his father and then he laid his son to sacrifice him, but in the end Allah lifted the slaughter from his son and the latter was not slaughtered. Allah says '' And We redeemed him with a great sacrifice". Apparently, that the previous incident occurred in Mecca, because Ismail (PBUH) was raised and died in it. Allah knows best.
Question:Can I offer sacrifice meat for Christians as I live in Canada?
Answer:In the name of Allah, it is not permissible. Allah knows best.
Question:We (fifty Husaynia prayers) decided to slaughter a sacrifice for all the prayers who will participate its price, and then we distribute the meat on the poor people who live in our area. Was what mentioned above permissible and would that recompense the sacrifice for those who participated in the price of the sacrifice?
Answer:In the name Allah, one lamb sacrifice would recompense a breadwinner and his family. If the sacrifice was a cow, then it would recompense seven different individuals of different families. A female buffalo would recompense seven people and the male buffalo would recompense one only. All what was mentioned above was about the desirable sacrifice with money and animal being available, but without the availability one cow would recompense seventy and above. Allah knows best.
Question:Should the sacrifice be slaughtered outside of Mina?
Answer:The slaughtering should be in Mina and if it wasn’t doable, then in the valley of Mihser. If the slaughtering could not have been accomplished in the two places mentioned for authorities prohibition or other reasons, then the slaughtering can be done in Mecca which is the most preferable precaution compared to other parts of the country. Allah knows best.
Question:Does the butcher who slaughters the sacrifice (dhabiha) have to be a Shiite?
Answer:In the name of Allah, the butcher must be a Muslim and not a Nasibi (those who have hostility towards Shiite). Also, the butcher slaughters according to the rules well-known with those who follow Ahlulbait in case the former wasn’t a Shiite.
