Question:Is cupping authentically recommended according to Sharia? and is it for men rather than women or for both
Answer:In the name of Allah, cupping has been proven recommended for everyone who lacks it, male or female or hermaphrodite. But if the patient’s treatment depends on that, then it will be obligatory. Allah knows best.
Question:There are some questions about cupping, seeking its religious ruling: 1. I work with cupping and medical worms for treatment. The question is: Regarding the blood shed due to the cupping or the leech, is it necessary to wash it after completing the operation, knowing that it is scientifically there must be a 12-hour bandage because the possibility of wound inflammation and blood leeches is bleeding for more than 12 hours, and what is the ruling on prayer? 2. If cupping or leeching is at the place of ablution, does it perform tayammum, is it ablution, or is it a combination of ablution and tayammum? 3. There are some women who seek treatment with cupping or a medical worm to treat a specific condition. Is it permissible to do this by a foreign man with no woman doing this or the presence of a woman but her work is not accurate?
Answer:A.1. In the name of Allah, as mentioned in the question, the rulings of the splint shall be applied to the wound that results from the cupping. Allah knows best A. 2. If the cupping is on a place of ablution or washing, the rulings of the splint will be performed according to the previous answer, in case washing is not possible for medical reasons. As for leeches, it is an animal that sucks blood. Usually, the wound does not bleed continuously. If the bleeding continues and there is no interruption until the time for prayer becomes short, the rulings of the splint will also be applicable, otherwise, ablution and washing shall not be dropped off. Allah knows best. A.3. In the name of Allah, as in the question, if the patient needs the aforementioned treatment, it is permissible for the man to perform as any other treatment done by the skilled doctor in the condition of the unviability of the skilled female-doctor. Allah knows best.
