Question:Why is it not permissible for us to donate our organs like the heart after death
Answer:In the name of Allah, as long as a person is alive, he has the right to do what he wants of his organs by selling or donating them, only if taking them from his body is not causing his death or his suffering with a fatal disease. Yes, in case if it were before the death of the human and his death is close, like clinically dead, then this transfer is permissible. And know, my son, that if a person dies, his body goes out of his possession; therefore, there is no value of the living person agreeing to transfer the dead's organs to others after death, and it is not permissible for him to ask in his will to donate some of his organs to anyone because the guardianship over the body of the dead is for Imam Mahdi (AJ) only and for the representative in case of absence. Therefore there is no value to the consent of the deceased's heirs. As for after his death, if he is a non-Muslim, it is permissible to transfer from him, while if he is a Muslim it is not permissible unless the life of a Shia Muslim would be saved from inevitable death or something similar to death, with blood money (Diyya) being confirmed for taking the organ from the dead and paid to the awaited Imam (AJ) and not transferred to the heirs of the dead. Allah knows best.
Question:It is reported that if the human kidneys are healthy, it is permissible to donate one of them to someone else, but is it permissible to give it with a price?
Answer:In the name of Allah, yes, it is permissible under the condition that it does not lead to his death. This is as long as he is alive and it is not permissible to donate or sell anything from his organs after his death. Allah knows best.
Question:Is it permissible for the deceased's guardian to donate the organs of the deceased from which medicine can benefit from, such as the heart, the kidney, or others and what is the ruling in donating one of the limbs like the hands, for example?
Answer:In the name of Allah, my son, you should know that when a person dies his body goes out of his possession and therefore no one may authorize donating some of his organs to anyone and guardianship over the dead in this sense to the Imam (AJ) only and to the representatives (religious authority) in the absence and we don't authorize the removal of any organ of a Muslim after his death, unless he was a Nasibi (those who show hostility towards Ahlulbait).Yes, in case saving the life of a Shiite Muslim is depending on taking an organ from the dead and fixing the body of the living with it. The life of the living is more important in the eyes of the Sharia than respecting the body of the dead. After checking the details of the matter, we may allow it with the Diyya (blood money) being imposed which would for Imam Mahdi (AJ). Allah knows best
Question:Is it permissible to donate organs with the possibility of no harm, as if a person donated his kidney, then he would live with one kidney, and does the ruling differ as to whether the donor is close to the beneficiary as if he/she was his mother or so, and is it permissible to sell the organs as if someone wanted to sell one of his kidneys for a sum of money?
Answer:In the name of Allah, as long as a person is alive, he has the right to do what he wants of his organs that would not cause his death in case these organs are taken. He has the right to sell it, give it or rent it. Let it be known that the transplantation of an organ into a human body is then owned by that person. Allah knows best.

What is the ruling of donating an organ in exchange for financial compensation, whether on a condition or on what is known to the public? Q4. What is the ruling of a person who asks to donate his organs after his death? Q5. Does the heirs' consent matter in deciding what to do with the deceased organs which the latter had asked in his/her will to donate them? Q6. Do the heirs have the right to ask for money in exchange for donating the organs of their father who had asked in his will to donate them? Q7. If the deceased had not asked in his/her will to donate his/her organs, is it permissible for the heirs to donate his/her organs? Q8. Is it permissible for a minor to donate his/her organs or part of it without the permission of his parents or the one responsible of him/her? Q9. What is the opinion of your eminence to donate organs during life or after death in general?
Answer:In the name of Allah, as long as a person is alive, he has the right to do what he wants for his organs by selling or donating them, except if extracting these organs from him would cause his death or getting a fatal disease. It is yes if it were before the death of a human and his death is close, for example clinical death, then this transfer in permissible with the consent of the owner of the organ. And know, my son, that if a person dies his body goes out of his possession, and therefore there is no value of the living person's consent to transfer his (the dead) organs to others after his death, and it is not permissible for him to ask in his will to donate some of his organs to anyone because the ruling over the body of the dead is for the Imam (AJ) only and for the representatives (religious authority) in his absence. And there is no value to the consent of the deceased's heirs. While after his death, if he is a non-Muslim, it is permissible to transfer from him, and if he is a Muslim, it is not permissible, unless the life of a Shia Muslim would be saved from the inevitable death or something similar to death. Blood money (Diyya) is confirmed for cutting off the organ from the dead and paid to the awaited Imam (PBUH) and it is not transferred to the heirs of the dead. Allah knows best

Question:The first hand transplant surgery was conducted from a clinically deceased young man who suffered a stroke to another person who had lost his hand and lived for many years without a hand. This process was carried out in Iran and they have achieved great success and they confirm that they can transfer any other member and the question is whether it is permissible according to religion or not.
Answer:In the name of Allah, if it is before the death of a person and if he/she is about to die, then this transfer is permissible with the consent of the owner of the organ, but after his/her death if he/she is a non-Muslim then it is permissible and if he is a Muslim then it is not permissible unless it is needed to save a Shiite Muslim from the inevitable death or something similar to death and the blood money would be the money of Imam Mahdi (PBUH), and it is not transferred to the heirs of the dead. Allah knows best.
