During the meeting, several important issues concerning both Turkey and Iraq and their peoples were discussed in general, emphasizing the status and importance of Najaf Al-Ashraf in particular.
Al-Najafi stressed the necessity of achieving shared justice in the distribution of common resources, especially in the water file, to ensure the rights of the Iraqi people and to resolve the water problem as quickly as possible. At the same time, he emphasized the need for Turkey to play an active role in developing the industrial sector in Najaf Al-Ashraf, establishing large Turkish factories and plants that contribute to the development of Iraq, as well as exchanging experiences between the two countries and benefiting from the Turkish experience in various fields.
He also emphasized that bilateral relations between Iraq and Turkey should be built on the basis of respect for sovereignty, preserving the interests of both countries and peoples and maintaining the security and safety of both nations. It is important to overcome problems and obstacles facing the two countries and resolve shared issues in various fields according to the laws and principles of good neighborliness and continuous dialogue.
