The representative of His Eminence Ayatollah the Grand Religious Authority Sheikh Bashir Al-Najafy (may Allah prolong his life) and his office director, His Eminence Sheikh Ali Al-Najafy, welcomed delegations of believers from Iraq who came to offer congratulations and blessings on the Great Eid al-Ghadir at His Eminence’s office.

His Eminence Sheikh Ali Al-Najafy provided many directives and discussions relevant to this blessed day, emphasizing that the event of Ghadir is the most important and greatest part of Islamic identity, as it is a significant commitment and covenant of the Prophet's (peace be upon him and his progeny) will.

He also stated that the Islamic identity is an integral part of Iraqi identity, and that today our children face many attacks aiming to erase national and religious identity with alternative cultures that have no connection to Iraq’s civilization and values.

His Eminence stressed the importance of having values and principles present in our children's hearts, as Iraq is rich in its civilization, religion, and culture.

He also prayed to the Almighty (Glory and Exalted Be He) to protect Iraq and the Iraqis, to save them from the evils of conspiracies, and to keep away all harm from them.
