*  The representative of His Eminence, Grand Ayatollah the Religious Authority Sheikh Bashir Al-Najafy (may Allah prolong his life) affirms the rejection of Turkey's handling of the issues of Iraqi sovereignty and water.

His Eminence, Grand Ayatollah the Religious Authority Sheikh Bashir Al-Najafy (may Allah prolong his life) welcomed the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey, Mr. Anil Bora Inan, and his accompanying delegation in Iraq.

The discussion covered the importance of Iraqi-Turkish relations and the continuation of brotherly cooperation and solidarity on various issues affecting both nations, emphasizing the need for mutual respect and ongoing understanding between the two countries.

They also addressed the water issue, which has severely harmed Iraq on humanitarian, agricultural, and livestock levels.

Additionally, the discussion included the Turkish occupation of sites in northern Iraq under the pretext of attacks on Turkey from groups based in Iraq that target Turkey.

On the sidelines of the meeting, the representative of Eminence, Grand Ayatollah the Religious Authority Sheikh Bashir Al-Najafy (may Allah prolong his life), and the Director of his central office, Sheikh Ali Al-Najafy, welcomed the Turkish Ambassador and his accompanying delegation.

Sheikh Al-Najafy clearly stated: "While we are keen on maintaining positive relations between the two countries and cooperation on various levels, we firmly reject Turkey's policies in dealing with Iraq regarding the water issue and the military incursions into Iraqi territories over the past years."
