Sheikh Al-Najafy: Hussaini Reform Encompasses One’s Relationship with Allah, Society, and the Self 3/7/2025 ![]() |
The representative of His Eminence the religious
authority Sheikh Bashir Al-Najafy (may Allah prolong his life), and the
director of his central office in Najaf Al-Ashraf, Sheikh Ali Al-Najafy,
participated in a mourning gathering held at the Hussainiya of Hajj Jasem Hanoun
in the holy city of Karbala, on the night of the 10th of Muharram. In his speech delivered during the gathering, His
Eminence emphasized that the Hussaini uprising came for the purpose of
reforming the nation and society, and every individual in their daily life,
pointing out that such reform begins with one’s relationship with Allah
Almighty, then reflects upon society through adherence to the rulings of
Islamic law in one’s dealings, and is completed through self-reform and
refinement in a manner pleasing to Allah, embodying the aims of Imam Hussein
(peace be upon him) in his blessed uprising. Sheikh Al-Najafy added that Imam Hussein (peace be upon
him), the Master of the Youth of Paradise, offered the greatest sacrifices—of
himself, his family, and his companions—for the salvation of the nation from
deviation. He called on everyone to be Hussaini in their conduct and awareness,
as the Imam (peace be upon him) intended. His Eminence stressed the importance of reviving the
Hussaini rituals, holding mourning gatherings, and visiting the Master of
Martyrs (peace be upon him), citing narrations from Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon
them) that demonstrate the greatness of the visitors and their lofty status
with Allah Almighty, and with Imam Hussein, his forefathers, and his
descendants (peace be upon them).
He affirmed that their names are recorded in illuminated scrolls due to their sincere intentions and faithful loyalty in reviving the Hussaini cause, whose injustice and legitimacy are universally recognized. |
