Najaf
al-Ashraf – In a spirit of fraternal welcome, the office of His Eminence Grand
Ayatollah Sheikh Bashir Al-Najafy received a distinguished delegation of
pilgrims from the Islamic Republic of Iran. The visit, part of their pilgrimage
to the holy shrines of Iraq, underscored the deep spiritual bonds that unite
the global community of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them). Hosted
at the central office in Najaf al-Ashraf, the reception emphasized the city's
historic role as a beacon for believers worldwide. Officials expressed honor in
welcoming the guests, noting that such pilgrimages serve as a vital spiritual
bridge, reinforcing faith and connecting hearts to the enduring principles of
Islam. On
behalf of the Religious Authorities, His Reverence Sheikh Thakir Hussein
extended a warm welcome to the delegation. He elaborated on the profound
significance and immense spiritual reward of visiting the sacred sites,
particularly the shrine of the Commander of the Faithful, Imam Ali (peace be
upon him). During
his address, Sheikh Thakir Hussein emphasized the importance of pilgrims
carrying the essence of their journey into their daily lives. He particularly
highlighted the dignity of the pilgrimage experience, stating that female
visitors should uphold the highest standards of modesty and hijab, following
the exemplary path of Hazrat Fatima al-Zahra (peace be upon her), to ensure
their presence is both honorable and impactful. Furthermore,
he encouraged the pilgrims to become ambassadors of the values they
encountered. "Return to your communities enriched with this spiritual
provision," he urged, "and actively share the noble teachings of the
Prophet and his Pure Household (peace be upon them)." He reminded the
gathering that true allegiance is reflected in one's conduct, moving beyond
mere names to embody faith through righteous actions. The
visit concluded with a powerful message on the transformative goal of
pilgrimage. Sheikh Hussein stressed that a successful journey must leave a
visible, positive imprint on the pilgrim's character, evident in their improved
words and deeds. Only through such a tangible transformation, he noted, can one
hope that their pilgrimage is accepted and that they may serve as righteous
examples within their societies.
This
meeting reaffirms the role of Najaf's religious authorities in guiding the
faithful and fostering a global Islamic community rooted in shared spiritual
values and moral conduct. |
