The representative of the Office of His Eminence Grand
Ayatollah Al-Najafi (may Allah prolong his life) in Basra Province participated
in Husayni mourning gatherings held in Al-Shafi Subdistrict to commemorate the
martyrdom of Imam Al-Husayn (peace be upon him). Speaking on the significance of attending Husayni
mourning gatherings, Sheikh Muthanna Al-Rubaie stated: "The
gatherings held in remembrance of Imam Al-Husayn (peace be upon him) are not
merely seasonal occasions; rather, they are schools of faith and moral
education that cultivate individuals upon the principles of truth, justice, and
loyalty to Allah, His Messenger, and the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them).
Reviving these gatherings means reviving the living conscience that rejects
oppression and deviation. The message of Karbala will remain eternal as long as
night and day endure, and it is our responsibility today to pass this message
on to our children and youth so that they become advocates of unity, morality,
and service to society." He further explained that the days of the month of
Muharram provide a valuable opportunity to strengthen the spirit of solidarity,
compassion, and service within the Husayni gatherings. He urged believers to
avoid anything that may divide the community or undermine the sanctity of this
great occasion, emphasizing that Imam Al-Husayn (peace be upon him) united
hearts around the principles of reform and human dignity. He stressed that
these values must be reflected in everyday conduct and interactions, and that
participation in Husayni gatherings should inspire righteous deeds, service to
others, and steadfast adherence to the principles of religion and homeland.
He also noted that the gathering highlighted the blessed life of Imam Al-Husayn (peace be upon him), the importance of preserving the Husayni rituals, and the need to instill in future generations the values and principles for which the Master of Martyrs (peace be upon him) made his noble stand. |
