The representative of His Eminence the Grand Religious Authority Ayatollah Sheikh Bashir Al-Najafy (may Alah prolong his life) and the director of his central office in Najaf, His Eminence Sheikh Ali Al-Najafy, welcomed various groups from different Iraqi provinces. During the meeting, Sheikh Al-Najafy spoke to the visitors about the importance and significance of visiting the infallible Imams (peace be upon them) in achieving closeness to Allah (Glory be to Him).

Sheikh Al-Najafy emphasized that visiting the Imams (peace be upon them) is a religious practice, particularly the visits to Imam Ali and Imam Hussein (peace be upon them), which hold great virtue and reward, referring to narrations that state that sleeping by the grave of the Commander of the Faithful, Imam Ali (peace be upon him), is equivalent to worship due to the sanctity of the holy place.

Sheikh Al-Najafy explained that visiting the Imams (peace be upon them) should leave a positive impact on the behavior of the believer, similar to how perfume leaves its scent after passing by a perfume shop, stressing that the visit is not just a religious ritual but a means for self-reformation and strengthening faith.

He urged the visitors to make the most of their presence at the holy shrines to gain the blessings of these visits and their positive impact on their daily lives.

He also touched on the virtue and great reward of visiting Imam Hussein (peace be upon him), especially on the Day of Arafah, which surpasses even the pilgrimage to the House of Allah in merit.

Sheikh Al-Najafy mentioned that sincere repentance and earnest supplication under the dome of Imam Hussein can change the state of the believer and grant him forgiveness from Allah (Glory be to Him).

At the end of the meeting, Sheikh Al-Najafy prayed to Allah to accept the visits of the believers, heal their sick, remove their afflictions, and allow them to return to visit the infallible Imams year after year in peace and safety.
