In a special online meeting, His Eminence Grand
Ayatollah Al-Najafy (may Allah prolong his life) engaged with a group of female
students from Najaf Islamic University, representing countries including India,
Pakistan, Australia, the United Kingdom, Norway, the United States, Canada, the
UAE, and Saudi Arabia. The meeting was held through a virtual platform, with
His Eminence addressing them from his central office in Najaf. During the meeting, Grand Ayatollah Al-Najafy (may
Allah prolong his life) stressed the importance of adhering to four fundamental
principles in the pursuit of knowledge. "These core principles are
essential for anyone who truly seeks knowledge," His Eminence said,
explaining that his own academic journey involved six key practices, but he was
asking the students to focus on four, promising that mastering these would
naturally lead them to grasp the remaining two. The four principles highlighted by His Eminence
include: thoroughly reviewing lessons before attending class, focusing
attentively on the instructor's words and gestures during the lecture, engaging
in discussions with classmates post-lesson to solidify understanding, and
consistently revisiting study materials from the beginning. “These
principles are more than guidelines; they are a roadmap for any student
striving for academic excellence," Al-Najafy (may Allah prolong his life)
added, emphasizing the importance of preparation, focus, and active engagement
with peers as tools for deeper understanding and creating an effective learning
environment. Grand Ayatollah Al-Najafy (may Allah prolong his life)
reminded the students that acquiring knowledge is not a passive process.
"It is an interactive journey that requires dedication and strong
willpower," he noted, further adding that the pursuit of knowledge is a
vital tool for personal and societal growth. The meeting ended with His
Eminence (may Allah prolong his life) offering prayers for the students'
success and encouraging them to maintain piety, emphasizing the need to lead by
example through their actions. The students expressed their gratitude for the valuable
insights shared by Grand Ayatollah Al-Najafy (may Allah prolong his life), and
the meeting concluded with a collective hope for ongoing success in their
academic endeavors.
The session underscores the Grand Ayatollah’s (may Allah prolong his life) commitment to supporting and guiding the younger generation of scholars, especially in a time when education and knowledge are more crucial than ever for societal development. |
