Grand Ayatollah Al-Najafy Receives a Delegation of Hezbollah Wounded in Lebanon 22/7/2025 ![]() |
His Eminence: "You are a project of martyrdom, and
your sacrifices are a badge of honor for the entire nation." His Eminence, Grand Ayatollah Al-Najafy (may Allah
prolong his life), received a delegation of wounded Lebanese fighters from
Hezbollah who were injured while confronting Zionist aggression using
"beeper" devices. The visit carried profound meanings of pride,
loyalty, and love for the religious authority of Najaf. In a heartfelt and emotional paternal address, His
Eminence expressed immense pride in these heroes, who embody sacrifice and
devotion, stating: "You
have honored us with your blessed presence in this sacred office. You represent
a generation that believes in God and sacrifices for their homeland and faith.
Love for one’s homeland is part of faith, and you exemplify the soldier who
carries conviction and defends it—not for a salary or position, but because you
are a project of martyrdom, as Ali Al-Akbar (peace be upon him) said: 'We care
not whether death comes to us or we advance toward it.'" His Eminence noted that what distinguishes these
mujahideen from enemy soldiers is that they fight with awareness, conviction,
and unwavering faith, while the enemy fights only for worldly interests and
Western agendas. A Reminder of the Infallibles’ (peace be upon them)
Advice During his speech, His Eminence (may Allah prolong his
life) recalled the teachings of Imam Musa ibn Ja’far (peace be upon him),
saying: "He
is not one of us who does not hold himself accountable daily... Every person,
man or woman, must ask themselves at the end of the day: What have I done with
my hands? My hearing? My sight? My steps? Have I pleased God in my actions?" He continued with paternal advice, urging kindness to
parents—especially mothers—stating: "Kissing
a mother’s hand is a great honor. Humility toward her is humility toward God
Almighty, for she is the one who toiled, raised you, and stayed awake to plant
in your hearts the love of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them)." Mujahideen: The Continuation of Karbala’s Path His Eminence (may Allah prolong his life) also invoked
the epic of Karbala, citing Imam Hussein’s (peace be upon him) farewell to his
son Ali Al-Akbar, whom he sent to battle despite the pain in his heart. His Eminence said: "In
Karbala, when the seasoned warrior went to fight, Hussein (peace be upon him)
sent his son Ali Al-Akbar to martyrdom—even though his voice and face resembled
the Prophet’s (peace be upon him and his family). But he knew the battle
required sacrifice, and Ali Al-Akbar declared: 'We care not whether death comes
to us or we advance toward it.'" Emphasis on the Sanctity of Lebanese Land His Eminence concluded by affirming Lebanon’s cherished
place in the heart of the religious authority, noting that its land has
produced great men, scholars, and mujahideen who continue to write epics of
dignity and faith. He prayed to God to protect Lebanon, its youth, and its
resistance, and to shield them from all harm, addressing the wounded: "You
embody steadfastness and faith in times of weakness. Our love for you is
sincere, and our prayers for your recovery and success are constant. May you
remain close to God in every moment."
The delegation expressed deep gratitude for the religious authority’s paternal care, stating that such visits strengthen their resolve to continue the path of resistance and faith, and that Najaf remains their spiritual and moral support against tyranny and occupation. |
