Question:It is reported in "Al-Orwatul Wuthqa" that it is recommended for the fasting person to break his his fast voluntarily, if a believer brother invites him for a meal. Here, there are three questions that we kindly ask you answer: a. Is the title "believer brother" applicable, in this case, to the one who is not in the age of puberty? If it is applicable, is it applicable to the discerner lad; generally or only those who passed the ten years of age? b. Is it a condition that the inviter owns the food for which the fasting person is invited or is it sufficient that the inviter has been given a permission to dispose the food, even though in essence? c. If it is recommended for the fasting person to voluntarily accept the invitation of the believer brother who is not in the age of puberty, we may ask the following: 1. Is it conditional to know the ownership of the food? 2. Is it enough to have the knowledge about the permissibility of the right to dispose the food? 3. Is this right to dispose the food regarded as one of the socially forgranted manners? 4. What if the invitee who has been invited by the one who is not at the age of puperty is the same one who is responsible for the food?
Answer:A. 1. In the name of Allah, be advised, brother, the evidence of this issue implicates that the purpose of fast-breaking is to be considerate with the believer invitee. There is no difference between being at the age of puberty or not, in terms of being a considerate. It is a condition for the one to be a discerner as you may be invited to eat what he has in hand as a childish behavior. Accordingly, the ruling applies to the adult or non-adult believers. Allah knows best. A. 2. In the name of Allah, the second one is enough. Allah knos best. A. 3. 1. In the name of Allah, knowledge of the ownership of the food ir srequired. Allah knows best. A.3.2. In the name of Allah, it is enough to have the knowledge about the permissibility of the right to dispose the food. Allah knows best. A.3.3. In the name of Allah, should it apply to the context for the sake of making certain that it is the right manner, the above-mentioned ruling is applicable. A.3.4. In the name of Allah, the ruling is generalized, provided tha the child is independent in terms of possession or ownership of the food. On the other hand, if the one who is responsible for food owns it, and this owner is not the same non-adult invitee, the generalization of the ruling is not enough. Allah knows best.
