Question:A person came into possession of money before the months of Hajj, such as acquiring it in the month of Sha'ban. Is it permissible to use this money freely, such as traveling with it without necessity, or must the person preserve it to perform the obligatory Hajj? Is it permissible to spend it on necessities like medical treatment?
Answer:In the name of Allah, if the money is spent on something obligatory, like medical treatment, there is no issue. However, spending it on anything that is not obligatory is not permissible, and the money should be preserved for Hajj. Allah knows best.
Question:Is it permissible for a person to undertake the recommended pilgrimage while being in debt and the due date for repayment has arrived, assuming that they do not know whether the lender accepts delays or not?
Answer:In the premise of the question, repaying the debt is obligatory. Yes, if the lender agrees, then it is permissible for them to go for pilgrimage; otherwise, it is not permitted. Allah knows best.
Question:If a young boy goes to Hajj and reaches the Miqat before assuming Ihram and is capable (of performing the Hajj), is he obligated to perform Hajj?
Answer:In the name of Allah, it is indeed obligatory for him to perform Hajj, and it will suffice as Hajj for Islam. Allah knows best.
Question:Is it permissible for the one to borrow money to go to the obligatory or desirable Hajj or to perform the recommended [mustahab] Umrah?
Answer:In the name of Allah, if the pilgrimage is due on one in the past years, then he lost the ability and did not go to the Hajj negligently and as a matter of disobedience, then he must perform Hajj even if he had to walk on his feet. The borrowing in such a case is necessary with the ability to perform and the determination thereof. Allah is the all-Guide and the world.
Question:If I have the ability to go to the obligatory Hajj and the pilgrimages of the Master of the Martyrs (PBUH) in Karbala, which should I prefer first? Would it be right to go to the pilgrimages of the Master of the Martyrs (PBUH) first or should I go to the Hajj? If I go to pilgrimages of the Master of the Martyrs (PBUH), I will have to make the money for the Hajj again, I am confused, so please advise me.
Answer:In the name of Allah, you must perform the obligatory Hajj first. Allah knows best.
Question:If a person mortgaged his gold jewelry in exchange for ten million dinars that he received from the mortgagee, is it permissible for that person, the owner of the gold jewelry, to perform Hajj with amount that he received from the mortgagee?
Answer:In the name of Allah, the amount is considered as a property of the borrower [you], as in the question. As for Hajj in terms of ability, if you have met the ability conditions, you must perform Hajj because gold does not achieve ability unless the gold is dispensed by you or your family. Be advised that the need for gold denies the ability to perform Hajj. Allah knows best.
Question:If a person has an amount of money that is sufficient for the Hajj, but he does not now have what he pays for Khums of his Hajj, is it permissible for him to delay the payment after the Hajj, and is it permissible to consult with the representative of Marja' in that or authorize payment after the Hajj?
Answer:In the name of Allah, he requests permission from the authority directly or through his representative to pay, with paying something from the Khums in order to go to Hajj. It is not permissible to consult, and it does not absolve the person. Allah knows best.
Question:I have a twenty-four-year-old boy who is not married, do I have the right to go to Hajj before his marriage?
Answer:In the name of the Allah, if your going to Hajj is not an objection to your marriage, then going to Hajj is obligatory, if you did not go to Hajj previously in your life, and if the marriage has passed its time in terms of requirements and the child cannot marry except with financial support from you and the time of marriage before going to Hajj, it is obligatory for you to have your son married because he is the one who is obligated to spend on you and the bank to marry alimony. Allah knows best.
Question:I am a financially able PhD student. I did not apply for Hajj draft this year because I know that the Hajj season will be at the same time of my comprehensive exam. Is this a legitimate excuse that I am regarded as unable or not?
Answer:In the name of Allah, he is not obligated if it is difficult for him. Allah knows best.
Question:In the noble verse, Allah said: “Pilgrimage thereto is a duty men owe to Allah,- those who can afford the journey; but if any deny faith, Allah stands not in need of any of His creatures.” It is also mentioned about the prophet (PBUH&HF) saying “O Ali, the one who delays Hajj till death, Allah will resurrect him as Jewish or Cristian” So, will the rulings of the unbeliever be applied to whoever leaves the pilgrimage without reason or delays Hajj? Or is the one who delays out of the doctrine?
Answer:In the name of Allah, after looking into the verse and saying with other sources of legislation, we can say that what is meant in the verse and the hadith is that the sinner who leaves Hajj without an excuse as it is an obligation on him. This one deserves the punishment of the unbeliever, and in this world he remains ruled by Islam and the rulings of Muslims after death. Allah knows best.
