Question:When reciting Surat Al-Fatiha to the deceased, is it in the name of his father or in the name of his mother? Some say if it is in the name of the mother, it is an innovation, and this speech is not from the Shiites, please explain.
Answer:In the name of Allah, you may give the reward by mentioning the person who died by his name, or without mentioning his name; you only intend to recite the Fatiha. It is valid to mention the name of the father or mother or both when reciting Fatiha on the diseased. Allah knows best.
Question:What is the benefit of the lamp or latrine on the grave? Is that found in Islam to light a candle on the grave?
Answer:In the name of Allah, it is not obligatory to do so on the graves of the public, but it should be brought in the graves of the infallibles (PBUH) because putting off the lamp on their graves is an insult to them in the custom, and it is one of the major sins.
Question:My pregnant wife aborted after 18 weeks of pregnancy and we buried the fetus directly, but some say we should have a funeral for it. Is this true?
Answer:In the name of Allah, as in the question, you must be committed to washing, shrouding and burying it, but it does not require prayer on it. Allah knows best.
